3-Day Coworking & Childcare Intensive: October 11-13, 2019
Building a community that supports work, creativity, and parenthood.
You’re invited to the first-of-its-kind intensive, focused specifically on building coworking communities with on-site childcare! It will be held October 11-13, 2019 in Durham, North Carolina at Nido: Coworking & Childcare.
The 3-day intensive will be an opportunity to gather with other trailblazers in this field to learn from the practices established by Nido and share what is working as we build this movement together. This hands-on intensive is ideal for folks who are in the beginning stages of starting a coworking space with on-site childcare.
Check out the three-day overview below. STAY TUNED FOR MORE DETAILS! If you have questions in the meantime, please send us an email.
Early bird registration opens today and closes June 30! Early bird tickets are $295. Ticket price includes breakfast and lunch! After June 30, ticket prices go up to $340.
Day 1: The Big Picture
We will start with the Big Picture - defining your vision for your space, and exploring how you will develop programming that meets the needs of your target demographic. The Nido teaching team will give you a crash course in the fundamentals of high-quality early childhood education, and I will lead you through a process of establishing the principles that will guide your community.
Day 2: Nuts & Bolts
We’ll get down to the details. We have experts lined up in real estate, accounting, small business law, and grassroots marketing to help you build your toolkit with the essential skills you’ll need as you establish your organization. I will also walk you through the workflows and software that Nido uses to help our administrative processes run smoothly.
Day 3: Deep Dive
We’ll do a deep dive into community building. We’ll be talking about building an inclusive community that honors diversity and promotes collaboration over competition. We’ll also discuss leadership, teamwork, and how to help your community thrive.
Each day will end with a Q&A with members of Nido’s team and community, followed by an optional off-site dinner with conference participants.
