Welcome to our nest

The School at Nido is an intentionally small program serving ages 6 months-6 years. Our goal is to ease your family's transition to childcare by creating an extension of the home environment. We maintain optimal teacher:child ratios to ensure a truly personalized program for every child.

We offer a half-day program during the school year, and both a half-day and full-day option during the summer. Our hope is that every child can be given the attention and freedom to grow and develop in a way that honors the unique qualities they bring to the world.

When I’m working, I know that [my children] will also be doing their own work and learning who they are alongside other children who are learning who they are. I know it’s the right environment for them and that I’m choosing what’s good for them based on who they are, and choosing what’s good for me based on who I am.

Our Philosophy

The Montessori Method is a method of education based on creating a prepared environment in which children can be free to guide their own learning. They have freedom of movement and freedom of choice - just like you.

Infant (6 mos - 18 mos)

even in their first days, infants begin to exercise their will and crave freedom. They move through their environment with insatiable curiosity.

Toddler (18 mos - 3 yrs)

Our toddlers are encouraged to practice their independence constantly. from pouring water, to putting on their coats - this is the age where the "can do" attitude is in full swing. we create a space for toddlers to explore these new skills in a supportive, nurturing environment.

children's house (3 yrs - 6 yrs)

In children's house, we witness the emerging social child. Our children's house is a community where each member is encouraged to engage in productive, creative, self-driven work - a perfect mirror to our coworking space.

Afternoon program

Our afternoon enrichment program gives your child a chance to rest and recharge and also have some fun! We offer art, music, creative movement, and science activities, M-Th afternoons, 1-5 pm.
